What we do
Carry On Singing is a brand new online programme, designed to bring the joy of singing into all of our homes as we adjust to lives of social distancing. Whether you’re a seasoned singer or an enthusiastic shower-soloist, the Carry On Singing Programme will help keep you in fine voice, and all for the price of just one singing lesson. It’s time to cut through the chaos of Coronavirus, embrace the magic of music, and put the sing in social distanc-sing!
You can expect weekly warm-ups and fun, new exercises, as well as the chance to get to know and perform our Christmas arrangement – all from the comfort of your own home and in your own time. After 3 weeks of training and private practice, you will then be asked to record your performance via either video or audio (whichever you’d prefer), before sending it direct to the Carry On Singing team, for us to produce a Virtual Choir Performance, which will be sent to everyone involved.
After a few weeks away, we're delighted to be back to offer a special Christmas Choir Course beginning on Friday 13th November with Christmas-themed warmups and the opportunity to learn an exciting arrangement of one of the best Christmas songs out there - Merry Christmas Everybody by Slade.
"The only thing better than singing is more singing"
One of our previous Virtual Choir Performances.
Why is it important?
You’re probably reading this because you love to sing, and you’re still missing the regular fix that you’d usually get from your church choir, choral society or other music group, due to the cancellation of rehearsals and performances for at least the next month.
With the help of Carry On Singing, you will be able to continue to learn and grow as a singer, have some fun along the way, and learn a completely new arrangement, before coming together in a Virtual Choir Performance, where you’ll be accompanied by a digital orchestra, which you can then share with your loved ones.
Just because we’re having to do things differently, it doesn’t mean we have to miss out on all of the things that bring us joy and help us ensure positive mental and emotional wellbeing.
